UIA expanded its fleet with two Boeing-737 and 3 Embraer-190 aircraft



UIA, Ukraine International Airlines - Ukraine plans expanding its fleet and route structure. UIA have plans to leased two additional Boeing 737-800 NGs and 3 Embraer-190s from AWAS – an international leasing company.

The fleet is now composed of 28 Boeing aircraft and two Embraer ERJ 190s. UIA operates Boeing aircraft since the airline`s foundation in 1992 and is currently the largest CEE Boeing aircraft operator. Moreover, UIA is the only Ukraine`s airline to independently perform all types of Boeing aircraft maintenance and overhaul.

“UIA long-term development strategy involves systematic fleet renewal and enlargement, – noted Yervgeny Treskunov, UIA Executive Vice President Strategy and Development. – Particularly, prior to 2018 airline's medium-haul will be fully renewed with Boeing-737 Next Generation aircraft. In support of the program implementation 5 new aircraft – 2 Boeing 737-900 aircraft and 3 Embraer-190 aircraft – are scheduled to arrive within the period of July – November 2013”.
