British Airways Announces B787 Service from Austin to London

Boeing 787 British Airways, will launch to serve London Heathrow - Austin Bergstrom International Airport, Texas route do start from early March 2014, operating five days a week, increasing to daily flights later in the year. Seats and vacation packages are available for purchase at beginning today.

This route will be the first regular trans-Atlantic flight for the city of Austin.

The new service will have three cabins, Club World (business), World Traveller Plus (premium economy) and World Traveller (economy). The cabins feature stylish new interiors with state-of-the-art entertainment systems. British Airways provides meals, snacks and beverages, including full service bar for free. Customers can also benefit from a generous baggage allowance.

This marks British Airways’ third destination in Texas, with the airline also serving Houston and Dallas/Fort Worth. Business and leisure travelers will fly into the modern Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport with fast connections to the city or easy transfer to onward destinations in Europe, Asia and Africa.

New routes on the winter schedule from EasyJet

EasyJet, LCC airline from UK making 190,000 more seats available for its passengers on the winter schedule.

EasyJet has today added a further five routes to its flight schedule,  The new routes will take off from October 17, 2013.

Five new routes EasyJet on the winter:
Bucharest, Larnaca, Venice, Lyon and Tenerife. The routes will fly from across easyJet’s UK bases including London Gatwick, London Luton, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle.

New Airbus A380 British Airways will serve first long-haul flight to Los Angeles on September 24, 2013, prices starting from £621 return, and the first to Hong Kong on October 22, prices from £688 return.

British Airways 787 Dreamliner to Fly to Toronto and Newark

British Airways will fly a Boeing 787 Dreamliner on September 1, on regular basis flight, for cutting the costs by introducing fuel-efficient aircraft.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be introduced on flights from London Heathrow to Toronto which is currently operated by Boeing 767 and Boeing 747. Meanwhile, flights to Newark Liberty which is currently operated by Boeing 767 and Boeing 777 also will replaced with Boeing 787 a month later.

"Boeing 787 Dreamliner will be the main fleet of British Airways," Willie Walsh said, Chief Executive Officer of International Consolidated Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways.

British Airways planned to receive eight Boeing 787-8 and 16 Boeing 787-9 larger until 2017, followed by the arrival of 12 Boeing 787-10 which became the biggest variant in 2018.

Boeing delivers the first 787-8 to British Airways

Today at June, 27 2013 Boeing and British Airways announced the delivery of the UK carrier’s first Boeing 787 Dreamliner.

The British Airways Boeing 787-8 departed Paine Field in Everett, Washington, on Wednesday, June 26, arriving at London’s Heathrow Airport today at 12:10 pm local time. The airplane was welcomed to its Heathrow home by Willie Walsh, chief executive officer ofInternational Airlines Group (IAG), the company that owns British Airways.

British Airways has announced that the airline will operate the 787 from Heathrow to Toronto from September 1 and Heathrow to Newark from October 1.

British Airways has ordered 24 787s, which will arrive over the next four years. The airline has also ordered 12 A380s and six additional Boeing 777-300 ERs. Over the next 12 months, it will take delivery of a new aircraft at the rate of one a fortnight.
