Nepal Airlines Orders two Airbus A320s with Sharklets


Nepal Airlines signs a contract for two Airbus A320s Sharklets Edition

Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) comfirm to order 2 Airbus A320s Sharklet edition, following a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreed in April.

The Airbus A320s Sharklet edition was chosen becouse this aircraft have unique caracter, performance and capability required for high altitude airport operations like on geographic of Nepal and and its flexibility that enables it to be deployed on a wide variety of routes.

All new A320s aircraft are fully equipped with latest Required Navigation Performance (RNP) technologies, allowing the aircraft to fly precisely along predefined routes using state-of-the-art onboard navigation systems.

The second reason is most importantly this Sharklets edition great to deliver unbeatable economics and up to four percent reduction in fuel burn.

This is particularly beneficial for operations at high altitude airports which are constrained by mountains such as the carrier’s main base in Kathmandu. The Airbus A320 aircraft Sharklet edition will be the cornerstone of Nepal Airlines modernized fleet.

Nepal Airlines currently flies to four international destinations and 25 spectacular domestic locations in the heart of the Himalayas.
