Malaysia Airlines Back to Serve Flights to Dubai
Malaysia Airlines will back to serve route Dubai-Kuala Lumpur on this summer. The airline previously shut down flights to Dubai as part of a massive cost-cutting measures undertaken in early 2012.
Malaysia Airlines launched daily flights from Kuala Lumpur to Dubai on August 5, 2013. Flights will be operated with Boeing 777-200, departing from Kuala Lumpur at 23:30 local time and arrive in Dubai at 02:20 local time the next day. The return flight will depart from Dubai at 04:10 local time and arrive in Kuala Lumpur again at 15:25 local time.
"Dubai is one of the routes were discontinued due to rationalization of routes in January 2012. We continue to monitor the market demand, and we are excited we come back again for adding Dubai in route network of Malaysia Airlines to strengthen its offering to customers, "said CEO Malaysia Airlines Group, Ahmad Jauhari Yahya.
Malaysia Airlines has grown back capacity rapidly in the past year, to add Airbus A380 flight to London, Paris, Hong Kong, and launched new flights to Kathmandu.
